Introduction: The normative relationship between lumbar intervertebral disc space height (DSH) and neuroforaminal dimensions (NFD) has yet to be defined.
Research Question: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between lumbar DSH and NFD using computed tomography (CT), accounting for influences of patient demographic and anthropometric characteristics.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed CT imaging of 350 female and 350 male patients.
Background: Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) comprises 85% of cases with rising incidence among never-smokers (NS). This study seeks to compare clinical, imaging, pathology, and outcomes between NS and ever-smokers (S) NSCLC patients to identify significant differences if any.

Design: Secondary analysis of longitudinal data from the Moe Kura: Mother and Child, Sleep and Well-being in Aotearoa New Zealand study when infants were approximately 12 weeks old.
Participants: 383 Māori and 702 non-Māori mother-infant dyads.
Objectives: To assess characteristics and outcomes of children with suspected or confirmed infection requiring emergency transport and PICU admission and to explore the association between the 2024 Phoenix Sepsis Score (PSS) criteria and mortality.
Design: Retrospective analysis of curated data from a 2014-2016 multicenter cohort study.
Setting: PICU admission following emergency transport in South East England, United Kingdom, from April 2014 to December 2016.
Recent application of whole genome sequencing in the investigation of foodborne illness outbreaks has facilitated the identification of Reoccurring, Emerging, or Persistent (REP) bacterial strains that have caused illnesses over extended periods of time. Here, the complete genomes of two O157:H7 (EcO157) outbreak strains belonging to REPEXH01 and REPEXH02, respectively, were sequenced and annotated. Comparative genomics and phenotypic analyses were carried out to identify REP-associated traits.
