Biventricular pacing (BiVP) has been the cornerstone of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in the management of symptomatic heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and electrical dyssynchrony despite guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). However, BiVP has some limitations, including technical difficulties and high non-response rates. Conduction system pacing encompassing His bundle pacing (HBP) and left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has recently emerged as a promising alternative to CRT in this group of patients.

Synthesizing hybrid molecules is one the best manner to achieve novel promising agents. Consequently, series of new thiazoles having coumarin nucleus were synthesized from 3-acetylcoumarin thiosemicarbazones. Cyclization of thiosemicarbazone derivatives with ethyl 2-chloroacetate, 1-chloropropan-2-one and 2-bromo-1-phenylethanone afforded the corresponding 4-thiazolidinones, 4-methylthiazoles and 4-phenylthiazoles, respectively.

The human amygdala paralaminar nucleus (PL) contains many immature excitatory neurons that undergo prolonged maturation from birth to adulthood. We describe a previously unidentified homologous PL region in mice that contains immature excitatory neurons and has previously been considered part of the amygdala intercalated cell clusters or ventral endopiriform cortex. Mouse PL neurons are born embryonically, not from postnatal neurogenesis, despite a subset retaining immature molecular and morphological features in adults.
