Aim And Background: Although local anesthesia (LA) eliminates pain and instills a positive dental attitude, the physical appearance of its syringe is highly fear provoking and often intolerable. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the pain and fear perception in camouflaged syringe (CS) and vibration-assisted syringe (VA) when compared with conventional syringe and with each other (VACS) during local anesthetic administration in pediatric patients aged between 6 and 12 years.
Materials And Methods: Eighty-five subjects were randomly assigned into three groups: CS group ( = 7), VA group ( = 26), and VACS group ( = 27).
Introduction: The healthcare sector has great potential for promoting physical activity (PA) for chronic disease prevention, treatment and management; however, multiple adoption and implementation barriers exist, ranging from practice integration to information flow. In 2016, Exercise is Medicine Greenville (EIMG), a comprehensive clinic-to-community approach that involves PA assessment, recommendation and/or prescription and provider-based referral of patients to community-based PA programmes, was launched by Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina, USA. Since inception, variability has emerged in adoption and implementation, impacting patient reach, referral rates and engagement in the community-based PA programmes, highlighting the need for closer evaluation and refinement of strategies to maximise programme impact.

Exercise is Medicine Greenville (EIMG) is a novel clinic-to-community model that identifies patients with chronic diseases in primary care settings and connects them to a structured, evidence-informed, community-based PA program. This study assessed influences on PA program enrollment using a mixed methods design.

In addition to environmental /lifestyle factors, the pathogenesis of disease has been associated with genetic and epigenetic factors that affect the reprogramming of normal brain function. MicroRNA (miRNAs), a type of non-coding RNAs, are emerging as significant players that play a vital role in the regulation of gene expression and have been extensively explored in neurodegenerative disorders.

Although structural determinants of health have clear links to both COVID-19 disease and vaccine uptake, many public health researchers focus on the contribution of individual level trust in vaccine uptake, obscuring how distrust develops and is reinforced through continued systemic injustice. While much is known about relationship between individual trust and receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine, less is known about how structural racism and exposure to discrimination influence that association.
