Background: Topical imiquimod has been shown to be an effective treatment for extramammary Paget disease (EMPD), although available evidence supporting its use is based on case reports and small series of patients.
Objectives: To investigate the therapeutic outcomes and analyse potential clinicopathological factors associated with the imiquimod response in a large cohort of patients with EMPD.
Methods: Retrospective chart review of 125 patients with EMPD treated with imiquimod at 20 Spanish tertiary-care hospitals.
As science and technology rapidly progress, it becomes increasingly important to understand how individuals comprehend expository technical texts that explain these advances. This study examined differences in individual readers' technical comprehension performance and differences among texts, using functional brain imaging to measure regional brain activity while students read passages on technical topics and then took a comprehension test. Better comprehension of the technical passages was related to higher activation in regions of the left inferior frontal gyrus, left superior parietal lobe, bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and bilateral hippocampus.

To support current restoration activities, large amounts of seed from have been regularly collected and stored for up to 8 years under standard seed banking conditions (5°C and 20% relative humidity), though recruitment from directly sown seed is poor. To investigate the underlying constraints to germination on demand, we set out to assess the viability of seeds that had been stored in a restoration seed bank from 6 to 66 months.

This analysis reports long-term outcomes. Overall, 1150 patients aged 18-75 years with newly diagnosed early-stage favorable HL were randomized between standard combined-modality treatment (CMT) (2x ABVD followed by PET/CT [PET-2] and 20 Gy involved-field RT) and PET-2-guided treatment omitting RT in case of PET-2 negativity (Deauville score [DS] < 3).
