Introduction: Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education's (ACPE) standards require pharmacy schools to assess Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) readiness. This paper describes the development and implementation of a Capstone Exam for assessing APPE-readiness and exploration of potential correlations between student performance on the Exam and performance measures within the didactic curriculum.
Methods: Faculty developed a Capstone examination aligned to the Pre-APPE Domains in Appendix A of the ACPE standards consisting of five stations assessing skills, which include: interviewing, counseling, prescription checking, professional communication, and inpatient order verification.
Background: Diaphorina citri is an insect vector of "Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus" (CLas), the gram-negative bacterial pathogen associated with citrus greening disease. Control measures rely on pesticides with negative impacts on the environment, natural ecosystems, and human and animal health. In contrast, gene-targeting methods have the potential to specifically target the vector species and/or reduce pathogen transmission.

Here, through allele-specific analysis of sequencing data from 48,179 cancer patients, we define the prevalence, selective pressure for, and functional consequences of biallelic inactivation across TSGs. TSGs largely assort into distinct classes associated with either pan-cancer (Class 1) or lineage-specific (Class 2) patterns of selection for biallelic loss, although some TSGs are predominantly monoallelically inactivated (Class 3/4).

Multinucleated giant cells (MNGCs), formed by macrophage fusion, typically occur in chronic immune pathologies, including infectious and non-infectious granulomas and the foreign body response , but are also observed in the aging ovary . The function and consequence of ovarian MNGCs remain unknown as their biological activity is highly context-dependent, and their large size has limited their isolation and analysis through technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing.
