Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate potential differences in biofilm accumulation on three different implant surfaces: turned surface (TS), modified surface (MS), and modified surface treated with implantoplasty (IPS), using a within-subject comparison.
Material And Methods: Ten volunteers wore individualized splints containing three titanium implants with different surfaces (TS, MS, and IPS) on each buccal side of the splint. The implant position (anterior, central, and posterior) was randomly assigned among the three implants on each side.
Introduction: Aggressive prolactinomas (APRLs) pose a significant clinical challenge due to their high rate of regrowth and potentially life-threatening complications. In this study, we present a case of a patient with an APRL who had a trial of multiple therapeutic modalities with the aim to provide a review of molecular abnormalities and management of APRLs by corroborating our experience with previous literature.
Methods: A total of 268 articles were reviewed and 46 were included.
Foliar nutrient resorption (NuR) plays a key role in ecosystem functioning and plant nutrient economy. Most of this recycling occurs during the senescence of leaves and is actively addressed by cells. Here, we discuss the importance of cell biochemistry, physiology, and subcellular anatomy to condition the outcome of NuR at the cellular level and to explain the existence of limits to NuR.
