Six strains isolated from muskmelon and watermelon seedlings affected by stem rot and wilting in Serbia were reported as based on pathogenicity, LOPAT and cell wall fatty acid analyses. Recent bacterial isolates from cucurbit crops displaying -like symptoms in Alabama, USA, were identified as , prompting polyphasic re-evaluation of the Serbian strains. All six strains were found to cause severe disease in watermelon and squash seedlings under greenhouse conditions.

Three fluorescent bacterial strains, K1, K13 and K18, were obtained from watermelon () foliage symptomatic of bacterial leaf spot of cucurbits in Florida. The strains underwent phenotypic characterization, including LOPAT (levan production, oxidase activity, pectolytic activity on potato, arginine dihydrolase production and hypersensitive response (HR) on both tobacco and tomato) and pathogenicity testing on watermelon and squash seedlings. Whole-genome sequencing of the isolates was performed, and multi-locus sequence analysis (MLSA) utilizing housekeeping genes , , and placed the isolates into two distinct clades within the genus.

Past research indicates that anticipatory postural adjustment (APA) errors may be due to the incorrect selection of responses to visual stimuli. In the current study we used the Simon task as a methodological tool to challenge the response selection stage of processing by presenting visual cues with conflicting spatial context; in this case generating a step response to a left pointing arrow which appears to the participant's right side or vice versa. We expected greater mediolateral APA errors, delayed APA and step onset times, and greater lateral CoP displacement prior to stepping for visual cues with incongruent spatial contexts compared to cues with congruent.

Purpose And Objectives: Attempting to improve the experience of hospitalized adults with dementia and reduce patient attendant costs, we addressed hospital nursing staff confidence managing responsive behaviors through education, mentorship, and individualized patient care planning for adults with dementia.Responsive behaviors (such as pacing, calling out) is a term used to describe behaviors demonstrated by a person with dementia as a way of responding to something negative, frustrating, or confusing in their social and physical environment.

Description Of Project: Under time restraints, we performed a rapid environmental scan and developed internal clinical resources and a learning strategy that informed a quality improvement initiative that focused on dementia care of hospitalized patients.
