Introduction: Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is closely associated with the host microbiome. While recent evidence suggests that shifts in specific bacterial taxa are associated with response to UV-B, a form of non-ionizing radiation, the impact of ionizing radiation (IR) has not been investigated.

Methods: 16S rRNA and gene amplicon sequencing were performed on DNA extracted from swabs of lesional/non-lesional skin of 12 CTCL patients before/after TSEBT or local IR and from 25 matched healthy controls (HC).

Background: Ketamine is a promising therapy for treatment-resistant depression due to its rapid onset, although benefits are often transitory, with patients needing maintenance therapy to prevent relapse. Most data supporting ketamine for treatment-resistant depression refers to the intravenous route of administration, leaving alternative routes lacking in data, especially as maintenance regimens. Moreover, the safety of ketamine maintenance therapy is poorly defined.

Measurement of object recognition (OR) ability could predict learning and success in real-world settings, and there is hope that it may reduce bias often observed in cognitive tests. Although the measurement of visual OR is not expected to be influenced by the language of participants or the language of instructions, these assumptions remain largely untested. Retinal degeneration in mammals causes permanent loss of vision, due to an inability to regenerate naturally. Some non-mammalian vertebrates show robust regeneration, via Muller glia (MG). We have recently made significant progress in stimulating adult mouse MG to regenerate functional neurons by transgenic expression of the proneural transcription factor Ascl1.

We present an enhancer AAV toolbox for accessing and perturbing striatal cell types and circuits. Best-in-class vectors were curated for accessing major striatal neuron populations including medium spiny neurons (MSNs), direct and indirect pathway MSNs, as well as Sst-Chodl, Pvalb-Pthlh, and cholinergic interneurons. Specificity was evaluated by multiple modes of molecular validation, three different routes of virus delivery, and with diverse transgene cargos.
