Objective: Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) results from overactivity of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR). Sirolimus and everolimus are mTOR inhibitors that treat most facets of TSC but are understudied in infants. We sought to understand the safety and potential efficacy of preventative sirolimus in infants with TSC.

Millions of people around the globe are impacted by falls annually, making it a significant public health concern. Falls are particularly challenging to detect in real time, as they often occur suddenly and with little warning, highlighting the need for innovative detection methods. This study aimed to assist in the advancement of an accurate and efficient fall detection system using electroencephalogram (EEG) data to recognize the reaction to a postural disturbance.

Transmission of group A Streptococcus in long-term care: An outbreak investigation.

We report 2 outbreaks comprising a cluster of 18 group A Streptococcal infections across 2 nursing facilities. Point prevalence surveillance testing identified 8 of 18 cases, and whole genome sequencing validated transmission pathways. Infection prevention interventions at the facility level comprised symptomatic and asymptomatic carriage-based case finding, transmission-based precautions, and treatment to eradicate colonization.

pVACview: an interactive visualization tool for efficient neoantigen prioritization and selection.

Background: Neoantigen-targeting therapies including personalized vaccines have shown promise in the treatment of cancers, particularly when used in combination with checkpoint blockade therapy. At least 100 clinical trials involving these therapies have been initiated globally. Accurate identification and prioritization of neoantigens is crucial for designing these trials, predicting treatment response, and understanding mechanisms of resistance.
