Background: Women who are pregnant are at increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE), which persists for up to 3 months following childbirth. Diabetes is known to increase the risk of serious cardiovascular outcomes.
Objective: To comprehensively review literature on the extent to which pre-existing or gestational diabetes influences the risk of VTE in both pregnancy and postpartum.
Objectives: To comprehensively review systematic reviews of prevalence, incidence, and mortality of Raynaud's, Sjögren's and Scleroderma, and to identify any research gaps.
Methods: An umbrella review of English language systematic reviews was undertaken using PubMed and Embase (OVID) covering the period 2000-2023 (PROSPERO CRD42023434865). The estimate and its corresponding 95% confidence interval were reported when available from each systematic review.
Background: People with immune-mediated inflammatory disease are at increased risk of pneumococcal pneumonia. The effectiveness of pneumococcal vaccination in people with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases has not been evaluated. We investigated the effectiveness of pneumococcal vaccination in preventing morbidity and mortality associated with pneumonia in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

Design: Data for adults with IBD diagnosed before the 1 September 2018 were extracted from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink Gold. We calculated the proportion of people vaccinated against seasonal influenza in the 2018-2019 influenza cycle.
