  • Virtual endoscopy (VE) is a technique that uses computer imaging to create a simulated view of the frontal sinus region, potentially aiding in surgical preparation and education.
  • In a study involving 16 CT scans, VE was conducted to visualize the Frontal Sinus Outflow Tract (FSOT), with planning points set for better anatomical orientation.
  • The results showed that VE accurately represented the FSOT in 22 out of 32 sides (69%), suggesting its feasibility but indicating the need for surgeon validation and further enhancements.
