The advent of BTK inhibitors has been transformative in the management of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or other B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders. However, emergence of BTK or PLCG2 mutations lead to resistance to these compounds and are now a growing concern in clinical practice. Assessing BTK mutations is now becoming a priority to guide the therapeutic decision at further relapse.

The 2022 ADEA Climate Study in U.S. and Canadian Dental Schools and Allied Dental Programs: Methodological Considerations.

Objectives: From January 2020 to the end of August 2020, preliminary research gathered data about the need for and the feasibility of an ADEA-led joint Climate Study of dental schools and allied dental programs in the United States and Canada. Informed by these findings, the first ever ADEA-led joint Climate Study took place in 2022. The objectives of this manuscript were to describe the timeline of this climate study and provide information about its methodology, specifically about (a) who participated in this research, (b) what was assessed, (c) how the study was conducted, and (d) how the results were communicated.

Quality of Psychiatric Care for Immigrants and People With a Non-English Language Preference: A Systematic Scoping Review.

Objective: Immigrants and persons with a non-English language preference (NELP) face unique challenges in the mental health care system. This systematic scoping review aimed to evaluate the literature for disparities in psychiatric care delivery, beyond access and utilization barriers, experienced by these two populations.

Methods: The authors queried four databases: PubMed, PsycInfo, Web of Science, and CINAHL.

Acute eculizumab treatment in a pediatric patient with AQP4-IgG+ NMOSD.

Background: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a rare autoimmune disorder that occurs in children and adults.

Case: We report a case of a 10-year-old female with AQP4+ NMOSD who presented with paraparesis from longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis (LETM) from C2 to the conus medullaris. The patient showed gradual improvement in strength and sensation with solumedrol and plasma exchange therapy.

Rare but dangerous cause of non-purulent myopericarditis: a non-typhoidal infection.

We present a case of a young man in his early 20s who presented to the hospital with acute onset of central chest pain, preceded by epigastric fullness and diarrhoea 5 days after consuming a meal containing chicken products. Following an extensive evaluation, he was diagnosed with -associated myopericarditis. This case aims to raise awareness within the medical community about the cardiac effects of infection.
