Introduction: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) has a remarkably variable disease course, even in monogenetic hereditary forms. Our aim was to investigate the prevalence of vascular risk factors and their effect on disease onset and course in Dutch-type hereditary (D-)CAA and sporadic CAA.
Methods: We performed a cohort study in D-CAA to investigate the association between vascular risk factors (hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, smoking, and alcohol use) and age of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) onset and time of ICH recurrence with survival analyses.
GLPG3970 is a selective salt-inducible kinase 2/3 inhibitor intended for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. In vitro studies suggest GLPG3970 strongly inhibits breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP), indicating a possible interaction with BCRP substrates such as sulfasalazine (SSZ; a probe substrate for intestinal BCRP inhibition) and methotrexate (MTX), both inflammatory disease medications. Two open-label, nonrandomized, phase I, drug-drug interaction (DDI) studies assessed the pharmacokinetics of SSZ 1,000 mg (NCT04720183) and MTX 7.

While bare TiO NPs displayed minor binding to both LPS and LTA, coating TiO NPs with the antimicrobial peptide LL-37 dramatically increased the level of binding to both LPS and LTA, decorating these uniformly. Importantly, peptide coating did not suppress reactive oxygen species generation of TiO NPs; hence, UV illumination triggered pronounced degradation of LPS and LTA by peptide-coated TiO NPs.

Methods: We included patients with sporadic (sCAA) and hereditary Dutch-type CAA (D-CAA). Spectral measures and the phase lag index (PLI) were analyzed on qEEG.
