Objective: Mental health is noted as a central indicator of academic success. This study explored the perceived mental health needs of nontraditional post-baccalaureate students and what may increase their abilities to meet these needs.

Participants: Participants (n = 79) were students at a mid-sized Midwestern university enrolled in identified nontraditional programs targeting students who previously obtained a bachelor's degree and nontraditional graduate students.

Episodic memory is a complex process requiring input from several regions of the brain. Emerging evidence suggests that coordinated activity between the dorsal hippocampus (DH) and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) is required for episodic memory consolidation. Background: Osler taught doctors to "have no teaching without a patient for a text, and the best teaching is that taught by the patient himself". Bedside teaching (BST) facilitates clinical practice of skills, teaches empathy, instils confidence and builds on patient-doctor relationships. However, its use has declined dramatically due to concerns regarding privacy and autonomy.

Background And Objectives: Many patients with ESRD, particularly minorities and women, face barriers in completing the steps required to obtain a transplant. These eight sequential steps are as follows: medical suitability, interest in transplant, referral to a transplant center, first visit to center, transplant workup, successful candidate, waiting list or identify living donor, and receive transplant. This study sought to determine the effect of navigators on completion of steps.
