In this study, we investigated the impact of single nucleotide polymorphisms in solute carrier (SLC) transporters, that is, SLC22A7 c.1586 + 206A > G, SLC22A2 c.808G > T, SLC22A3 c.

We present an unobtrusive cuff-less sphygmomanometer based on contact-type and optical pulse sensors for continuous and minimally invasive monitoring of blood pressure (BP). We developed a cuff-less sphygmomanometer that utilizes the pulse arrival time (PAT) to estimate continuous BP. To assess its accuracy, we recruited 10 healthy subjects in whom we carried out BP studies using the cuff-less sphygmomanometer compared with a standard cuff-type device in a stationary sitting patient.

We investigated the influences of pregnancy and anxiety on postural control in pregnant women (P) standing upright in the late trimester. An analysis of posturograms revealed that the area of body sway and length of antero-posterior body sway were greater in P than those in non-pregnant controls (NP).

Objective: To establish whether the number of lymph nodes (LNs) removed might be associated with better cause-specific survival in patients with UTUC.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The study included 552 consecutive patients who underwent radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) and lymphadenectomy between 1992 and 2006.
Purpose: We examined the impact of lymphadenectomy on the clinical outcomes of patients with upper tract urothelial cancer treated with radical nephroureterectomy.
Materials And Methods: Data were collected on 1,130 consecutive patients with pT1-4 upper tract urothelial cancer treated with radical nephroureterectomy at 13 centers worldwide. Patients were grouped according to nodal status (pN0 vs pNx vs pN+).
