Objectives: The purpose of the present study was to verify if performance in the 6-min walking test (6MWT) during the preoperative evaluation phase is associated with the development of cardiopulmonary postoperative complications in patients who underwent uniportal VATS (U-VATS) for lung cancer.

Methods: This retrospective, monocentric study included patients submitted to U-VATS anatomical lung resections (March 2022-December 2023). The patients were enrolled in a preoperative rehabilitation program carried out 15 days before surgery.

Background: Encorafenib plus cetuximab (EC) is the standard of care for pre-treated mutated metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Depth of response (DpR) and early tumour shrinkage (ETS) previously showed a strong correlation with survival outcomes of first-line chemotherapy ± biological agents.

Liver transplantation (LT) is a curative strategy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but the risk of HCC recurrence remains a challenging problem. In patients with HCC recurrence after LT (HCC-R_LT), the locoregional and surgical approaches are complex, and the guidelines do not report evidence-based strategies for the management of immunosuppression. In recent years, immunotherapy has become an effective option for patients with advanced HCC in pre-transplant settings.

The selective photoreduction of CO in aqueous media based on earth-abundant elements only, is today a challenging topic. Here we present the anchoring of discrete molecular catalysts on organic polymeric semiconductors via covalent bonding, generating molecular hybrid materials with well-defined active sites for CO photoreduction, exclusively to CO in purely aqueous media. The molecular catalysts are based on aryl substituted Co phthalocyanines that can be coordinated by dangling pyridyl attached to a polymeric covalent triazine framework that acts as a light absorber.

Introduction: Spontaneous tumor regression is the volumetric reduction or complete disappearance of a primary tumor or metastatic sites (single or multiple) without the administration of treatments. This rare phenomenon occurs most commonly in certain types of neoplasms.

Case Presentation: In this manuscript, we describe a spontaneous tumor regression in an adult patient followed at the Modena Cancer Center and affected by retroperitoneal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, an ultra-rare subtype of sarcoma.
