Homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) contributes to genomic instability and leads to sensitivity to poly ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitors (PARPi). HRD also activates the cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-STimulator of INterferon Genes (STING)-Interferon (IFN) pathway, highlighting the need to understand the impact of cGAS-STING-IFN signaling on PARPi efficacy. In this study, we analyzed a cohort of thirty-five breast cancer (BC) patient-derived xenografts (PDX) and mouse-derived allografts (MDA).

Spheniscid alphaherpesvirus-1 (SpAHV-1) is associated with respiratory disease in juvenile African penguins (). In 2020, this virus was detected in adult birds with clinical signs of respiratory disease in a previously asymptomatic colony of 21 birds following a recommended introduction of three new birds, including two with a history of herpesvirus as juveniles. Mild to moderate respiratory signs were noted in 33% (8/24) of the colony.

Background: Patients undergoing evaluation for musculoskeletal concerns are often seen by a physician and physical therapist in the in-person setting in a sequential manner. This process typically delays the onset of nonoperative care, inclusive of physical therapy, and creates the risk of inadequate clinical collaboration between physician and physical therapist. To address these issues, we designed a novel initial patient evaluation to a group visit in which both a specialty-trained musculoskeletal physician and physical therapist simultaneously evaluate a patient together in the digital encounter.
