Background: Non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD) is a condition in stable patients that experience angina despite not having significant coronary obstructive lesion. Knowledge on the role of certain biomarkers in patients with NOCAD is still limited. This study aimed to evaluate the roles of inflammation and adhesion molecules in the development of NOCAD.

This article provides a comprehensive review of chitosan-based hydrogels for transdermal drug delivery. It covers various aspects including the chemical structure of chitosan and its derivatives, crosslinking agents, hydrogel morphology, and drug loading and release behaviors. The review draws on 16 studies sourced from Scopus, focusing on how the composition and structure of hydrogels influence drug release.

A hybrid Harris Hawks Optimization with Support Vector Regression for air quality forecasting.

This paper proposes a hybridized model for air quality forecasting that combines the Support Vector Regression (SVR) method with Harris Hawks Optimization (HHO) called (HHO-SVR). The proposed HHO-SVR model utilizes five datasets from the environmental protection agency's Downscaler Model (DS) to predict Particulate Matter ([Formula: see text]) levels. In order to assess the efficacy of the suggested HHO-SVR forecasting model, we employ metrics such as Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Average, Standard Deviation (SD), Best Fit, Worst Fit, and CPU time.

Revisiting Africa's Stroke Obstacles and Services (SOS).

Background: As one of the most common non-communicable diseases in Africa, Stroke ought to be dealt with properly with intensifying efforts to control its burden and to face obstacles in its management.

Methods And Results: In this follow-up study we reanalyzed stroke services and related obstacles in 17 African countries that were previously studied in 2021/22 in aspects related to manpower, acute stroke services, rehabilitation programs, number of stroke units/centers, telestroke services, awareness campaigns, and national and international stroke registries through a survey that was sent to stroke specialists and national stroke societies. Overall, there is an improvement in many fields yet many obstacles in the implementation of telestroke services, acute management, secondary prevention, post-discharge services, and follow-ups whether governmental, medical, or societal are prevalent.

Addressing Critical Mistakes in Administering Intravenous Medications at Omdurman Military Hospital, Khartoum, Sudan.

Objective: Errors in the preparation and administration of intravenous medications are significant contributors to morbidity and mortality rates in medical practice. Early reporting and the implementation of preventive measures can mitigate these errors. This study aims to identify patterns and frequencies of errors in IV medication preparation and administration, along with associated factors, at Omdurman Military Hospital in Khartoum, Sudan.
