Metastasis to jaw bones from renal cell carcinoma as the sole primary source: Systematic review.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been known for its high propensity of metastasis to unusual locations, and jaw bones (JBs) are one among those sites. The literature has reported several studies analyzing metastatic tumors to the oral region, but very little research work has been published to date to analyze solely JB metastasis (JBM) via RCC. The goal of this study was to examine the published cases of metastasis to JBs from RCC as the sole primary source till date.

Restorative Neurostimulation Therapy Compared to Optimal Medical Management: A Randomized Evaluation (RESTORE) for the Treatment of Chronic Mechanical Low Back Pain due to Multifidus Dysfunction.

Introduction: Many interventional strategies are commonly used to treat chronic low back pain (CLBP), though few are specifically intended to target the distinct underlying pathomechanisms causing low back pain. Restorative neurostimulation has been suggested as a specific treatment for mechanical CLBP resulting from multifidus dysfunction. In this randomized controlled trial, we report outcomes from a cohort of patients with CLBP associated with multifidus dysfunction treated with restorative neurostimulation compared to those randomized to a control group receiving optimal medical management (OMM) over 1 year.

Bypass Grafting for Myocardial Infarction From Endocarditis Embolus to the Left Anterior Descending.

A 67-year-old man with aortic valve endocarditis presented with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and was found to have embolic vegetation occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery. This patient was successfully treated with early aortic valve replacement, extraction of a vegetation embolus, and coronary artery bypass grafting over the site of extraction.

Effects of an initial anti-CD19 CAR T-cell therapy on subsequent anti-CD22 CAR T-cell manufacturing and clinical outcomes in patients with r/r LBCL.

Patients with large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) progressing after anti-CD19 CAR T-cell (CAR19) therapy have poor outcomes. Subsequent CAR T-cell therapy shows promise, but the impact of residual CAR19 and early relapse remains unclear. We evaluated 37 CAR19-refractory LBCL patients who received anti-CD22 CAR T-cell (CAR22) in a phase 1b trial (NCT04088890).
