[Isolation of thrombocyte concentrates from the leuko-thrombocytic buffy coats of donor blood and their preservation].

A new method has been developed for platelet concentrate (PC) preparation from the whole blood buffy coats. This method makes possible obtaining leukocyte-poor PC as compared to that prepared from platelet rich plasma. Functional characteristics of PC stored in Soviet plastic bags at room temperature (22 degrees C) under continuous agitation at circular rotator were studied during 7 days.
