Cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CFNs) are promising materials for their enticing properties for different biomedical applications, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast, drug carriers, biosensors, and many more. In our previous study, a chitosan-coated CFN (CCN) nanocomplex demonstrated potential as an MRI contrast dye by improving the biocompatibility of CFN. In this study, we report the progeny transfer effects of CCN following a single intravenous injection of CCN (20, 40, or 60 mg/kg) in pregnant albino Wistar rats.

Nitrogen (N) is a highly essential macronutrient for plant root growth and grain yield (GY). To assess the relationship among N, root traits, and the yield of (dry season irrigated) rice, a pot experiment was performed in the Department of Agronomy, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, during the rice season of 2020-2021. Three rice varieties, namely BRRI dhan29, Hira-2, and Binadhan-10, were planted at four N doses: 0 kg ha (N), 70 kg ha (N), 140 kg ha (N), and 210 kg ha (N).

Article Synopsis
  • Researchers have developed a method for single-molecule protein sequencing that accurately identifies peptide sequences in real time.
  • This technique uses dye-labeled amino acid recognizers and aminopeptidases to probe single peptides while recording fluorescence data on a semiconductor chip.
  • The method shows potential for detailed analysis of proteins, including the ability to detect single amino acid changes and modifications, paving the way for more accessible proteomic research.

Cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CFN) have drawn attention as a theranostic agent. Unique physicochemical features of CFN and magnetic properties make CFN an outstanding candidate for biomedical, agricultural, and environmental applications. The extensive use of CFN may result in intentional inoculation of humans for disease diagnosis and therapeutic purposes or unintentional penetration of CFN via inhalation, ingestion, adsorption, or other means.
