Many tasks require precise synchronization with external sensory stimuli, such as driving a car. This study investigates whether combined visual-tactile information provides additional benefits to movement synchrony over separate visual and tactile stimuli and explores the relationship with the temporal binding window for multisensory integration. In Experiment 1, participants completed a sensorimotor synchronization task to examine movement variability and a simultaneity judgment task to measure the temporal binding window.

Objective: We investigated genetic, epidemiologic, and environmental factors contributing to positive joint cultures.
Design: Retrospective cohort study with whole-genome sequencing (WGS).
Patients: We identified isolates from hip or knee cultures in patients with 1 or more prior corresponding intra-articular procedure at our hospital.
Our ability to integrate multisensory information depends on processes occurring during the temporal binding window. There is limited research investigating the temporal binding window for visual-tactile integration and its relationship with autistic traits, sensory sensitivity, and unusual sensory experiences. We measured the temporal binding window for visual-tactile integration in 27 neurotypical participants who completed a simultaneity judgement task and three questionnaires: the Autism Quotient, the Glasgow Sensory Questionnaire, and the Multi-Modality Unusual Sensory Experiences Questionnaire.

Using a DLBCL cell-based model, we previously demonstrated that resistance to pan-HDAC inhibitors (HDACi) is characterized by reversible growth arrest and sensitivity by mitotic arrest and apoptosis. The goal of the current study is to better define mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance to the cytotoxic effects of HDACi by using HDAC-selective inhibitors to determine which HDACs need to be targeted to achieve the sensitive and resistant phenotypes.

Background: Thrombosis is a major complication after cardiac surgery in children with congenital heart disease. The mechanisms underlying thrombosis development remain poorly understood. We aimed to identify novel circulating metabolites before cardiac surgery that are associated with thrombosis after surgery in children with congenital heart disease.
