PAS domain-containing serine/threonine-protein kinase (PASK) is a nutrient and energy sensor regulated by fasting/refeeding conditions in hypothalamic areas involved in controlling energy balance. In this sense, PASK plays a role in coordinating the activation/inactivation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) in response to fasting. PASK deficiency protects against the development of diet-induced obesity.

Most LHSs operate within a specific healthcare system, typically hospital-based, under a common electronic health record (EHR) and management structure. The Early Psychosis Intervention Network in Texas (EPINET-TX) is a novel case study of a developing LHS across 16 independent community mental health clinics operating state-funded coordinated specialty care (CSC) programs for early psychosis.

Frameless single-isocenter multitarget SRS is a novel technique that allows for rapid treatment delivery to multiple BM. We report our preliminary clinical, dosimetric, and patient´s shifts outcomes with this technique.

Using retrobead tracing, we previously reported enhanced excitability of DMS-projecting OFC neurons in mice following 3-to-7-day withdrawal from chronic intermittent ethanol (CIE) exposure. In the same animals, spiking of DMS-projecting BLA neurons was decreased at 3-days post-withdrawal followed by an increase in firing at 7- and 14-days.
