Background/aim: Scapular osteosarcoma is a rare malignancy, and the understanding of its optimal treatment strategies and long-term outcomes remains limited. The purpose of the current study was to evaluate our institutional experience.
Patients And Methods: We reviewed 14 patients (8 females, 5 males; mean age 44±17 years) treated for scapular osteosarcoma from 1985 to 2022.

Objective: To examine the long-term perioperative changes in lumbar bone density, muscle size and fatty atrophy, and facet degeneration after transfemoral amputation (TFA).
Design: All patients who underwent TFA at an academic center between 2002-2022 were retrospectively identified. Patients were required to have preoperative and postoperative CT (>1 year) and regularly utilize a prosthesis.
Objective: To characterize and identify factors associated with long-term morbidity of definitive urosymphyseal fistula (USF) treatment.
Methods: Retrospective chart review of a single institution database identified 57 patients who underwent operative treatment of USF between 2009 and 2022 with at least 90 days of follow-up. Delayed complications were considered those occurring ≥90 days following surgery.
Background: Flat bone chondrosarcomas have worse outcomes than extremity tumors, but there is no data directly comparing the different flat bones. The aim of this study was to examine differences in recurrence and survival between pelvic and scapular chondrosarcoma.
Methods: One hundred and sixty-nine (42 scapula, 127 pelvic) patients with chondrosarcoma who underwent surgical resection were reviewed.
