Biomechanical stimulation is reportedly pivotal in meniscal regeneration, although its effect on mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) meniscal differentiation remains elusive. In this study, we investigated how cyclic compressive loading (CCL) could impact MSCs using three-dimensional cultures in atelocollagen-based meniscal substitute (ACMS). We extracted MSCs from the meniscus, synovium, and articular cartilage, cultured them in three-dimensional cultures, and exposed them to CCL for 7 days.

We aimed to investigate the effects of VA on muscles in vitro and in vivo using the C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line and cardiotoxin-induced injury in male rat soleus muscles.

Although several diseases have been associated with IgG4, its role in the disease pathogeneses remains unclear. Since mice do not express an IgG subclass that is identical to the human IgG4 (hIgG4), we generated hIGHG4 knock-in (KI) mice and analyzed their phenotypes.

In this study, bioabsorbable copolymers composed of poly(l-lactide--glycolide) (PLGA) and poly(1,5-dioxepan-2-one) (PDXO) were synthesized and evaluated for their antiplatelet adhesive properties. The PLGA-PXO multiblock copolymer (PLGA-PDXO MBC) and its random copolymer (PLGA-PDXO RC) showed effective antiplatelet adhesive properties, and the number of adhered platelets was similar to those adhered on poly(2-methoxyethylacrylate), a known antiplatelet adhesive polymer, although a large number of denatured platelets were observed on a PLGA-poly(ε-caprolactone) multiblock copolymer (PLGA-PCL MBC).

In this study, we investigated the mechanism via which atelocollagen gel affects human articular cartilage-derived chondrocytes. Two types of three-dimensional cultures of human articular cartilage-derived chondrocytes (i.
