We describe a new technique for hydrodilatation of the frozen shoulder, which we coined 'Sonographically-Navigated Frozen Shoulder Release (S-FSR)' or 'Dr Gonzalez's technique.' Traditional treatments include a combination of conservative and surgical modalities, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, and open capsular release. We describe a modification to hydrodilatation of the frozen shoulder.

Background: Detection of del(17p) in myeloma is generally performed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) on a slide with analysis of up to 200 nuclei. The small cell sample analyzed makes this a low precision test. We report the utility of an automated FISH method, called "immuno-flowFISH", to detect plasma cells with adverse prognostic risk del(17p) in bone marrow and blood samples of patients with myeloma.

Background And Aim: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) with intraoperative cholangiography (IOC) is a commonly performed surgical procedure in most hospitals. Anecdotal evidence suggests that when the pancreatic duct (PD) inadvertently fills during IOC, there may be an increased risk of postoperative pancreatitis (POP). However, there is a paucity of information in the literature about both the incidence of pancreatitis post LC and the incidence of PD filling on IOC and any potential relationship between the two.

Sepsis and its treatment are the most common etiologies of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which has a disturbing mortality rate. Sepsis management relies heavily on the introduction of resuscitative fluids. However, when fluids are paired with the circulating inflammatory mediators of sepsis, patients are prone to lung damage.
