The article deals with surfactants capable of forming an aerodispersive system, foam, under specific conditions as described below. Characteristics of surfactants usable as foaming agents are specified. Attention is paid to detergency and detergent effects of foams, wetting process, dispersion formation, stabilization of foams and stabilizers.

Antimicrobial efficacy of modern antiseptics-iodophores based on the iodine-polyvinylpyrrolidone complex using standard suspension tests and their modifications and screening methods with bacteriophage phi X 174 was studied. The study was completed with molecular modelling of structural and spatial distribution of these substances with the help of computer programme HyperChem 2.0.

The paper deals with the influence of long-chain fatty acids on the formation of insoluble elastin in vivo. Oil isolated from the sea fish named flounder has been chosen as the source of those long-chain fatty acids. The diet containing the flounder oil was administered to pregnant rat females.
