Article Synopsis
  • Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) face challenges in diagnosing and treating congenital heart diseases like tetralogy of Fallot due to insufficient resources, infrastructure, and expertise.
  • Patients in these regions often undergo surgery later than those in high-income countries, leading to complications such as right ventricular dysfunction and developmental issues due to chronic hypoxia.
  • This review aims to analyze and summarize the surgical outcomes for tetralogy of Fallot patients in LMICs, addressing the limited data available on their treatment.
