Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a significant health problem associated with several risk factors, increasingly driven by non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and metabolic syndrome. This association poses a challenge for the primary treatments of HCC, which may include immune checkpoint inhibitors and vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors, due to their potential cardiotoxic effect. Therefore, it is imperative to balance the therapeutic effects of these agents with their potential cardiovascular adverse events.

Iron oxide nanoparticles, recognized for their superparamagnetic properties, are promising for future healthcare therapies. However, their extensive use in medicine and electronics contributes to their discharge into our environments, highlighting the need for further research on their cellular damage effects on aquatic organisms. While the detrimental properties of other compounds have been stated in the early-life stages of fish, the cytotoxic consequences of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) in these stages are still unexplored.

We aimed to assess the role of suprazygomatic maxillary nerve (MN) block (SMB) guided by ultrasound (US) in lowering EA incidence and enhancing analgesia quality in septorhinoplasty cases.
Material And Methods: Sixty cases aged 18-60 years, of both genders, categorized by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I-II and listed for septorhinoplasty, were randomized to receive general anesthesia (GA) with either no block (the control group) or combined with bilateral US-guided SMB (the SMB group).
Objectives: The objective of this web-based study is to analyze the attributes of bariatric surgery cases ensuing health implications. Additionally, the study seeks to delve into the factors influencing post-bariatric psychological evaluations and the impact of various bariatric surgeries on weight loss and psycho-social assessment scores for patients who had undergone bariatric surgeries within a specific bariatric surgery center in Egypt between January 2017 and January 2024.
Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study recruited 411 adults who had undergone different bariatric procedures by the same surgical team.
