Objectives: The objective of this study was to quantify the time to diagnosis of endometriosis by laparoscopy for patients of varying body mass index (BMI), as well as the safety of laparoscopy for endometriosis by BMI.

Materials And Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study of reproductive-age women receiving a primary laparoscopic diagnosis of endometriosis at an academic tertiary hospital from January 2017 to December 2020. Patients excluded were those undergoing repeat laparoscopy, with previously histologically diagnosed endometriosis, asymptomatic endometriosis, an unknown first gynecologic encounter, or an unknown initial BMI.

Background: This study aims to assess the clinical and oncologic outcomes of high-dose brachytherapy (BRT) versus both preoperative and postoperative external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) in the setting of high-grade soft tissue sarcoma.

Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study of 144 patients treated surgically for soft tissue sarcoma at the same institution from 2010 to 2021. Patients treated for a soft tissue sarcoma with surgery and radiation therapy in the form of BRT, Neoadjuvant EBRT (Neo-EBRT) or adjuvant EBRT (AD-EBRT) were included.

Article Synopsis
  • - Lead is a harmful substance that mainly impacts children’s developing brains, yet there's little information on how it transfers through breastmilk and its long-term effects.
  • - A case study shows a breastfeeding mother and her baby had fluctuating blood lead levels, with the mother’s only previous lead exposure occurring before pregnancy.
  • - The study emphasizes that the baby’s lead exposure likely came from the mother during pregnancy and breastfeeding, pointing to the need for better models to understand how lead transfers through breastmilk.

Background And Objectives: Management of myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) is widely debated, and there is no consensus regarding the effect of adjuvant therapies on local recurrence (LR), distant metastasis (DM), or overall survival (OS). This study aims to determine the effect of adjuvant therapies on the aforementioned outcomes in patients with MFS.

Methods: We conducted a systematic review via Medline, PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane, Embase, and Google Scholar.
