Salvage Therapy Efficacy is Modified by Risk Group at Diagnosis in Patients With Relapsed Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Background: Patients with relapsed rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) are treated with varying approaches and have a poor overall survival (OS). We performed an observational comparison of salvage regimens exploring whether high-dose alkylator combinations were associated with longer OS.

Procedure: We categorized 110 patients with relapsed RMS from five institutions into two groups, those treated with regimens including a high-dose alkylator (Group A) and those treated without a high-dose alkylator (Group B).

Introduction: The National Football League (NFL) combine tests the athleticism of prospects competing for the draft. The vertical jump is included to test lower extremity power, yet the components which lead to the greatest performance remain elusive. Therefore, this study aimed to utilize a sample of elite athletes to analyze vertical jump components associated with increased performance and the relationship between vertical jump performance and rookie-year success.

Impact of nurse education prior to and during COVID-19 on nursing students' preparedness for clinical placement: A qualitative study.

Introduction: Nursing students internationally entered challenging clinical placements during COVID-19. Lessons learnt could inform nurse education planning, particularly in preparation to implement future workforce plans.

Aim: This study aimed to explore the impact of COVID-19 on nursing students undertaking clinical placements across the UK, particularly the extent to which nursing education prior to and during COVID-19 had prepared them for placements, and to distil key messages for future nursing education.

Prefrontal tDCS fails to modulate memory retrieval in younger and older adults.

Previous research shows that a single session of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) can improve the accuracy of episodic memory retrieval, but stimulation effects are not always found and may be moderated by time of day. Here, we report the results from a rigorous clinical trial (NCT03723850) designed to replicate these tDCS findings in younger adults and extend them to cognitively normal older adults. We conducted the largest double-blind, between-subjects tDCS study on memory retrieval in younger and older adults to date.

Re-infection after treatment for moderate and severe diabetic foot infections.

To investigate risk factors for re-infection and compare the outcomes in people with diabetic foot infections. A retrospective chart review was conducted, and 294 hospitalised patients with moderate to severe diabetic foot infections (DFIs) were analysed for this study. The diagnosis and classification of the severity of infection was based on the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot (IWGDF) infection guidelines.
