Ferritin Levels in Women with PCOS.

Objective: To study ferritin levels, and potential factors influencing them, in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and to investigate potential associations between ferritin levels and other parameters in these women.

Design: Longitudinal general population -based cohort study, including data from both questionnaires and clinical measurements.

Subjects: The study was conducted with data from the participants of the Women's Health Study, including a total of 1918 Finnish women, around 35 years of age.

Automatic segmentation of extensor carpi ulnaris tendon and detection of tendinosis with convolutional neural networks.

Background: Extensor Carpi Ulnaris (ECU) tendinosis, a frequent cause of chronic wrist pain, requires prompt diagnosis to prevent disability. This study demonstrates the use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for automated detection and segmentation of the ECU tendon and tendinosis in 2D axial wrist MRI.

Purpose: To develop a CNN for the automated detection of ECU tendon and automatic delineation of tendinosis in 2D wrist MRI.

Results of a qualitative semi-structured interview study with hospital nursing staff to improve incident reporting systems in Estonia.

Objective: Nurses and their leaders are known for actively using incident reporting systems. However, information sharing about lessons learned from incidents has rarely been reported in previous studies. This study aimed to describe nurses' and nursing managers' experiences with incident reporting system information sharing and their perceptions of patient safety development needs.

Decent and Precarious Work Among Nursing and Care Workers: A Mixed-Method Systematic Review.

Aim: To identify and describe evidence from original studies on the contextual factors, dimensions, and outcomes of decent and precarious work among nursing and care workers.

Design: This is a mixed-methods systematic review.

Data Sources: The Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO and SocINDEX databases were searched on January 11, 2024.

Patient Safety Culture and Safety Attitudes in the Estonian Context: Simultaneous Bilingual Cultural Adaptation and Validation of Instruments.

Objectives: This study aimed to simultaneously and bilingually validate the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC 2.0) and the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire (SAQ).

Methods: The validation included translation, cultural adaptation, and assessment of validity and consistency.
