Via conductance measurements of thousands of single-molecule junctions, we report that the π-π coupling between neighboring aromatic molecules can be manipulated by laser illumination. We reveal that this optical manipulation originates from the optical plasmonic gradient force generated inside the nanogaps, in which the gapped antenna electrodes act as optical tweezers pushing the neighboring molecules closer together. These findings offer a nondestructive approach to regulate the interaction of the molecules, deepening the understanding of the mechanism of π-π interaction, and open an avenue to manipulate the relative position of extremely small objects down to the scale of single molecules.

The last two decades have seen a proliferation of molecular phylogenies, often at the species level, covering almost all 875 valid NFF genera. This study presents the most comprehensive genome-wide, time-calibrated phylogenetic hypothesis of NFF species to date, based on DNA sequences generated over decades through the collaborative efforts of the multinational ichthyological research community.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFNaNiMnO (NNM) is regarded as a promising cathode material for Na-ion batteries (NIBs), but suffers from irreversible phase transformations characterized by multiple voltage plateaus, resulting in poor cycle stability and inferior rate capability. To address these issues, the NaNiCuZnMnO (NNCZM) cathode material is synthesized by a cation chelation and reassembly process, which can promote a more uniform element distribution than that prepared by the solid-state method (S-NNCZM), resulting in better Na diffusion kinetics and rate capability. Replacing Ni with a small amount of Zn prevents the P2-O2 phase transformation, while replacing Ni with an appropriate amount of electrochemically active Cu eliminates Na-vacancy ordering and additionally contributes to capacity.

Adopting cross-sectional research, a total of 3 822 patients who received treatment in Tongren Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from July 2022 to July 2023 due to respiratory diseases or skin and dermo-mucous symptoms were included. Among them, there were 1 456 males and 2 366 females, with an age range of 1-97 years old.
