A prospective study analyzing the use of free public sunscreen dispensers.

Setting: This study evaluates the impact of sunscreen dispensers in increasing sunscreen usage and awareness in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Intervention: In June 2022, three touchless sunscreen dispensers offering free Health Canada-approved SPF 30 sunscreen were installed in areas of high pedestrian traffic. A team of four city workers gathered observational data over a 17-day span between July and August 2022.

Developing community resilience in the face of COVID-19: case study from the Estrie region, Canada.

The COVID-19 pandemic undeniably impacted population health and several aspects of community organization, including service delivery and social cohesion. Intersectoral collaboration and equity, two key dimensions of community resilience, proved central to an effective and equitable response to the pandemic. Yet the factors that enabled or constrained communities' capacity to enact intersectoral collaboration and equity-focused action in such times of urgency and uncertainty remain poorly understood.

Résumé:De nombreux articles publiés récemment ont laissé apparaître l'émergence d'un nouveau phénomène dans notre rapport avec la pandémie de COVID-19 : la fatigue pandémique. Ce phénomène suggère l'apparition d'une tendance générale de lassitude face aux mesures sanitaires et à l'état d'urgence devenu permanent. L'objectif de cet article est de replacer cet enjeu dans le contexte de la réalisation d'un projet de recherche portant sur les impacts psychosociaux durant la pandémie.
