Hippotherapy in the management of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is an inherited condition marked by joint hypermobility, instability, chronic pain and fatigue, significantly impacting quality of life and autonomy. Management focuses solely on symptom alleviation. After experiencing a rapid decline in functional abilities, a patient in late adolescence with hypermobile EDS underwent hippotherapy rehabilitation (30 hours).

Neuromuscular Choristoma of the Brachial Plexus Presenting as a Supraclavicular Mass in a Pediatric Patient: A Case Report.

Case: This case demonstrates a 2-year-old boy with a rare benign supraclavicular mass diagnosed as neuromuscular choristoma through open biopsy. Postoperatively, he underwent semiannual surveillance with ultrasound without development of neurological complaints, limb deformity, or recurrence at 2-year follow-up.

Conclusion: Neuromuscular choristoma involving the brachial plexus is a rare tumor that should be in the differential diagnosis of pediatric peripheral nerve-based tumors.

The pink river dolphin, or bufeo, is one of the dolphins which lives in the rivers of the Orinoco and Amazon basins in South America. The Bolivian bufeo population is considered a differentiated species () from the Amazon and Orinoco species (). Until now, no study has completed an extensive population genetics analysis of the bufeo in Bolivian rivers.

Detailed descriptions of behavior provide critical insight into the structure and function of nervous systems. In larvae and many other systems, short behavioral experiments have been successful in characterizing rapid responses to a range of stimuli at the population level. However, the lack of long-term continuous observation makes it difficult to dissect comprehensive behavioral dynamics of individual animals and how behavior (and therefore the nervous system) develops over time.
