Background: Preeclampsia (PE) is a pregnancy complication characterized by hypertension, proteinuria, endothelial dysfunction, and complement dysregulation. Placenta-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs), necessary in maternal-fetal communication, might contribute to PE pathogenesis. Moreover, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) play a pathogenic role in other complement-mediated pathologies, and their contribution in PE remains unexplored.

However, platelet adhesiveness has not been systematically explored in VTE patients. To evaluate platelet adhesive functions in VTE patients.

We aimed to test and refine a theory of change model hypothesising key causal assumptions to understand how the New Interventions for Independence in Dementia Study (NIDUS)-Family (a manualised, multimodal psychosocial intervention), was effective relative to usual care, on the primary outcome of Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) over 1 year.
Methods: In 2021-2022, intervention-arm dyads completed an acceptability questionnaire developed to test causal assumptions.
Reconfigurability within hydrogels has emerged as an attractive functionality that can be used in information encryption, cargo/delivery, environmental remediation, soft robotics, and medicine. Here micro-patterned polymer hydrogels capable of temperature-dependent reconfigurability are fabricated. For this, the hydrogels are provided with micron-sized Pickering emulsion droplets stabilized by magnetic particles, which are capable of harnessing energy from external force fields.

In each session, fresh ejaculates from eight males were collected via artificial vagina, pooled and frozen in liquid nitrogen vapors. After thawing, a total of 19,084 sperm tracks and 11,319 morphometric measurements were analysed.
