Artificial intelligence(AI)-based methods have been extensively used for the detection and management of various common retinal conditions, but their targeted development for inherited retinal diseases (IRD) is still nascent. In the context of limited availability of retinal subspecialists, genetic testing and genetic counseling, there is a high need for accurate and accessible diagnostic methods. The currently available AI studies, aiming for detection, classification, and prediction of IRD, remain mainly retrospective and include relatively limited numbers of patients due to their scarcity.

This transnitrosation cascade was established and we identified by mass spectrometry and mutational analysis Cys 610 (C610) of GC1 α-subunit as a major donor of S-nitrosothiols (SNO). To assay the relevance of GC1 transnitrosation under physiological conditions and in oxidative pathologies, we studied a knock-in mouse in which C610 was replaced with a serine (KI αC ) under basal or angiotensin II (Ang II)-treated conditions.

The use of EDTA (ethylendiaminetetraacetic acid), as a chelator of certain metals present in chitin, soften the tissues and allows us to cut them. The tissues were embbeding in plastic resines in two different protocols and cutted by cryostat (20-30 μm) and ultramicrotome (4 μm) respectively.

The stem residues were collected from a mushroom cultivation facility, cleaned, and washed to remove impurities. The material was then subjected to two different drying methods: conventional dehydration and freeze-drying.
