Objectives: Our aim was to investigate the incidence and risk factors for prolonged air leak (PAL) in patients undergoing minimally invasive single-port pulmonary segmentectomy.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of all patients undergoing uniportal segmentectomy in our department from March 2015 to September 2023 was performed. Univariable, multivariable logistic regression analyses and machine learning were used to investigate risk factors for PAL (>5 days).

Iatrogenic ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after insertion of a left sided thoracic tube is a rare insertional complication. We present a case of coronary artery compression of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) caused by a left sided chest tube placed after blunt thoracic trauma with pneumothorax resulting in a STEMI. A 53-year-old male patient with severe blunt thoracic trauma presented in the emergency department.

Pulmonary Sequestration: A Monocentric Case Series Report.

Pulmonary sequestration is a rare pulmonary malformation that often necessitates surgical intervention due to potential complications such as recurrent infections or hemoptysis. This case series presents the clinical trajectory of four patients diagnosed with pulmonary sequestration, from initial diagnosis through postoperative care, with a specific focus on the limited arterial supply in two of the cases. We conducted a retrospective descriptive analysis of four patients diagnosed with pulmonary sequestration who underwent surgical treatment at our institution between January 2013 and November 2022.

Corporate Purpose Swings as a Social, Atheoretical Process: Will the Pendulum Break?

This article argues that conceptualising corporate purpose as a normative question which can be examined in isolation from its socio-historical context is inappropriate and ultimately futile. Corporate purpose is examined here as historically determined, a social fact, independently from whichever theoretical position might prevail in scholarly debates. Interestingly, corporate law doctrine pertinent to corporate purpose has remained mostly static but fairly open-ended.
