A key challenge is organizing these compounds over large length scales, while elucidating their resulting magnetic properties. Herein, we offer a relevant contribution toward this objective, which consists of using on-surface synthesis coupled with coordination chemistry to promote the self-assembly of π-electron magnetic porphyrin species.

Dislocation of the First Metacarpophalangeal Joint Complicated by the Interposition of the Thumb Sesamoid Bones: A Case Report.

We present a case of a thumb metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint dislocation complicated by the interposition of the sesamoid bones. This case highlights a clinical scenario referred to as the "locked thumb" syndrome, in which a first-digit MCP dislocation is complicated by an entrapped anatomical structure that hinders closed reduction. In this case, the thumb sesamoid bones became lodged at the base of the dislocated proximal phalanx.

Objectives: Current guidelines recommend dexamethasone 6 mg/day for up to 10 days in patients with severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) requiring supplemental oxygenation or mechanical ventilation. The practice has significant variation, however, and dexamethasone has been used for >10 days for many patients with severe COVID-19. The aim of this study was to assess the benefits and risks associated with standard versus extended use of dexamethasone in patients with severe COVID-19.

This paper addresses this gap by investigating the attractiveness halo effect using AI-based beauty filters. We conduct a large-scale online user study involving 2748 participants who rated facial images from a diverse set of 462 distinct individuals in two conditions: original and attractive after applying a beauty filter.
