Precisely timed immune adaptations, observed in the maternal circulation, underpin the notion of an immune clock of human pregnancy that supports its successful progression and completion at delivery. This immune clock is divided into three immunological phases, with the first phase starting at the time of conception and implantation, shifting into the second phase that supports homeostasis and tolerance throughout pregnancy, and culminating in the last phase of labor and parturition. Disruptions of this immune clock are reported in pregnancy complications such as spontaneous preterm birth.

Methods: In accordance with PRISMA guidelines, we searched PubMed, CINAHL, African Index Medicus, and other databases for studies published from 2010 onward.
Introduction: sigmoidectomy is the definitive treatment of Sigmoid Volvulus (SV). It can be done either by laparotomy or laparoscopy. Our objective was to describe the left iliac fossa sigmoidectomy with mechanical anastomosis recently introduced in our practice, assess our results after 5 years and evaluate its feasibility in our setting.

The results indicate that Na, Ca, Li, and K exist in a free state in the molten salts, while Al forms complex ion groups in the form of [AlF] with F, and free F also exists in the molten salts. In the NaF-AlF-CaF system, the average Al-F distance is slightly shorter than that in the other two systems, while the Al-F coordination number is higher in NaF-AlF-LiF.
