Background: Growing evidence shows that the reprogramming of fatty acid (FA) metabolism plays a key role in HER2-positive (HER2 +) breast cancer (BC) aggressiveness, therapy resistance and cancer stemness. In particular, HER2 + BC has been defined as a "lipogenic disease" due to the functional and bi-directional crosstalk occurring between HER2-mediated oncogenic signaling and FA biosynthesis via FA synthase activity. In this context, the functional role exerted by the reprogramming of CD36-mediated FA uptake in HER2 + BC poor prognosis and therapy resistance remains unclear.

DAA-PASS: A Prospective Evaluation of HCC Recurrence After Direct Acting Antiviral Therapy.

Direct-acting antiviral (DAA) therapy is associated with a significant reduction in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) incidence among patients with cirrhosis, but data are conflicting about the risk of recurrence following DAA therapy. DAA-PASS was a prospective, pragmatic, observational study designed to estimate the risk of HCC recurrence associated with DAA therapy exposure during routine clinical care. Eligible patients were DAA treatment naive with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage A.

TYTOCARE™ home telemonitoring device after radical cystectomy to optimise postoperative outcomes.

Objectives: To evaluate the role of the TYTOCARE™ telemedicine programme for home telemonitoring during the early postoperative period following radical cystectomy (RC) in a prospective single-centre study.

Materials And Methods: The study included patients aged <80 years with internet access who underwent RC at our institution between March 2021 and August 2023. Upon discharge, patients were monitored at home using the TYTOCARE™ telemedicine system.
