Awaiting insurance coverage: Medicaid enrollment and post-acute care use after traumatic injury.

Background: Lack of insurance after traumatic injury is associated with decreased use of postacute care and poor outcomes. Insurance linkage programs enroll eligible patients in Medicaid at the time of an unplanned admission. We hypothesized that Medicaid enrollment would be associated with increased use of postacute care, but also with prolonged hospital length of stay (LOS) while awaiting insurance authorization.

Challenges and perspectives in the management of BRAF-mutated metastatic melanoma: Systemic treatment sequencing and brain metastases.

The global incidence of metastatic melanoma with BRAF mutations, characterized by aggressive behavior and poor prognosis, is rising. Recent treatment advances, including immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) and targeted therapies (TT) such as BRAF and MEK inhibitors, have significantly enhanced patient outcomes. Although guidelines recommend sequencing strategies, real-world implementation can be influenced by clinical scenarios.

Dual Oxygen-Responsive Control by RegSR of Nitric Oxide Reduction in the Soybean Endosymbiont .

To investigate the role of the RegSR-NifA regulatory cascade in the oxygen control of nitric oxide (NO) reduction in the soybean endosymbiont . We have performed an integrated study of expression and NO reductase activity in , , , , and mutants in response to microoxia (2% O) or anoxia. An activating role of RegR and NifA was observed under anoxia.

The integration of self-efficacy and response-efficacy in decision making.

The belief that we can exert an influence in our environment is dependent on distinct components of perceived control. Here, we investigate the neural representations that differentially code for self-efficacy (belief in successfully executing a behavior) and response-efficacy (belief that the behavior leads to an expected outcome) and how such signals may be integrated to inform decision-making. Participants provided confidence ratings related to executing a behavior (self-efficacy), and the potential for a rewarding outcome (response-efficacy).
