Clinical endpoints caused by hyperlipoproteinemia include atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and acute pancreatitis. Emerging lipid-lowering therapies targeting proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9 (PCSK9), lipoprotein(a), apolipoprotein C-III, and angiopoietin-like protein 3 represent promising advances in the management of patients with hyperlipoproteinemia. These therapies offer novel approaches for lowering pathogenic lipid and lipoprotein species, particularly in patients with serious perturbations who are not adequately controlled with conventional treatments or who are unable to tolerate them.

Grounded in the Self-Regulation Model of Behavior and the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping, this study examines the mediating role of cognitive reappraisal in the relationship between bedtime procrastination and sleep quality over time.
Methods: Employing a longitudinal design, the study examined the progression of bedtime procrastination, cognitive reappraisal, and sleep quality among university students at three distinct time points throughout an academic semester.
Background: To compare plateletcount (PC), mean platelet volume (MPV), and platelet distribution width (PDW)between women with preeclampsia (PE) and normotensive pregnant women, andevaluate their effectiveness as predictors of PE.
Research Design Andmethods: This cross-sectionalstudy at Nishtar Hospital, Multan, included 141 women: 74 normotensive and 67preeclamptic. Data was collected using an automated hematology analyzer andanalyzed with SPSS version 26 and ROC curves.
Background: CA19-9 is a classical tumor marker and plays an important role in the diagnosis of biliary and pancreatic cancer. However, a few cases reported that the tumor maker CA19-9 is abnormally elevated in patients with calculous cholecystitis, but the relation between severity of calculous cholecystitis and serum CA19-9 level are still unknown.
Methods: Total 105 calculous cholecystitis patients from first hospital were collected and divided into high serum CA19-9 group(high group, n = 35) and normal serum CA19-9 group(normal group, n = 70).
