Chronic prostatitis (CP) is one of the most common male urogenital diseases and a significant public health problem in industrialised countries. It is associated with a low quality of life and significant expense. Given the poor results achieved with antibiotics, scientific interest has turned to the use of natural substances with a known activity on prostate function.

[Hashimoto's thyroiditis and autoimmunity parameters: descriptive study].

Aim: Aim of the study is a prospective evaluation of the simultaneous presence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis as a sign of a possible occurrence of another autoimmune disease.

Methods: Thirty two patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis have been selected. No other immunological parameters have been used for the selection.
