The pleomorphism of the tussies taking part in the formation of oral cavity is basis for the great majority of benign and malignant tumors. They often have similar clinical manifestations macroscopic view. Histological investigations help us for exact diagnosis and adequate treatment.

The authors have the aim to discuss their experience in the field of treatment of otogenic intracranial complications results of inflammatory process. View Article and Find Full Text PDFA case of a patient with a 20-year history of chronic otitis media complicated by cholesteatoma and brain abscess is described. A CT scan with contrast material showed three abscess cavities in the right cerebellar hemisphere. A culture from a specimen of the cholesteatoma yielded a significant amount of growth of Bilophila wadsworthia, Bacteroides fragilis and Prevotella oris and a moderate growth of alpha-streptococci and Staphylococcus simulans.

A male patient presenting acute left-side purulent masillary sinus and orbital phlegmon is described. Anaerobic flora is demonstrated microbiologically. Emphasis is laid on the necessity of opportune operative treatment, adequate antibiotic therapy and team work with microbiologists and ophthalmologists.
