Unlabelled: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) continues its largely aseasonal spread with millions of cases per year. Highly sensitive, point-of-care testing is critical for rapid detection of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases and initiation of antiviral therapy to avert adverse health outcomes and reduce onward transmission of the virus. While hundreds of COVID-19 diagnostics received emergency use authorization from the FDA during the pandemic, significantly fewer have navigated the course to FDA clearance or approval.

Prognostic value of total, free and lipoprotein fraction-bound plasma mitotane levels in advanced adrenocortical carcinoma: a prospective study of the ENDOCAN-COMETE-Cancer network.

Purpose: Mitotane is the only approved treatment for metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC). Monitoring plasma levels is recommended, but its predictive value is insufficient.

Methods: This prospective study of the French ENDOCAN-COMETE network aimed to investigate the prognostic role of plasma mitotane levels pharmacokinetics and free or bound to lipoprotein fraction measurements during six consecutive months.

Using a nasopharyngeal (NP) or anterior nasal (NS) swab from prospectively collected or retrospective specimens, we assessed the clinical performance of the BD Respiratory Viral Panel (BD RVP) for BD MAX System against FDA-cleared or authorized comparators. Across prospective and retrospective specimens, positive percent agreement (PPA) was ≥ 98.4% for SARS-CoV-2, ≥ 96.

Safety and efficacy of percutaneous arterial port Implantation for Hepatic Arterial Infusion Chemotherapy.

Objectives: Approximately 40% of patients with colorectal cancer will develop liver metastases. Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) represents a valuable treatment option, with curative, palliative, or adjuvant intent.
