Gastrointestinal bleeding remains a frequent reason for emergency consultations, with a mortality rate that is still worrying despite advances in treatment. The most common cause is gastro-duodenal ulcers, mainly linked to Helicobacter pylori. Unusual causes such as gastroduodenal diverticular haemorrhage, a rare and serious complication, can also be detected during endoscopy.

Most HAAs do not display any symptoms, but they may potentially lead to complications, as in the case of our patient who presented with an HAA compressing the common bile duct, detected through contrast-enhanced endoscopy. There are no specific treatment recommendations for HAAs due to their rarity.

Methods: The authors analyzed data from 129 patients with a BMI ≥ 40 kg/m , including 39 with (BS+) and 90 without (BS-) a history of BS.
On-chip study of blood flow has emerged as a powerful tool to assess the contribution of each component of blood to its overall function. Blood has indeed many functions, from gas and nutrient transport to immune response and thermal regulation. Red blood cells play a central role therein, in particular through their specific mechanical properties, which directly influence pressure regulation, oxygen perfusion, or platelet and white cell segregation toward endothelial walls.

The software was modified to read multiple data formats and the study was performed prior to the release of the software to the forensic community. The first exercise explored all main functionalities of DNAxs with feedback on user-friendliness, installation and general performance.
