Article Synopsis
  • The study tested if starting a hormone protocol on Day 13 after Timed Artificial Insemination (TAI) improves conception rates in Nelore cows from two commercial farms.
  • On Day 13, cows were divided into a Resynch group (receiving the hormone protocol) and a Control group (no additional protocol), with similar conception rates for the first TAI in both groups (around 50%).
  • The second TAI for non-pregnant cows in the Resynch group showed a lower conception rate (42.8%), significantly influenced by farm-related factors.
