Background: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is the most common genetic cardiomyopathy and causes major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). SVEP1 (Sushi, von Willebrand factor type A, epidermal growth factor, and pentraxin domain containing 1) is a large extracellular matrix protein that is detectable in the plasma. However, it is unknown whether adding plasma SVEP1 levels to clinical predictors including NT-proBNP (N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide) improves the prognostication in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

While the current literature shows promising results in the evaluation of non-melanoma skin cancer, only limited research exists on the application of EVCM in melanocytic lesions. This study aimed to assess the utility of EVCM in the characterization of melanocytic lesions and compare its findings with gold-standard histopathology.

Transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CM) is an exemplar of precise therapeutic approach in the field of heart failure and cardiomyopathies. A better understanding of the underlying pathophysiology, more precise data of its epidemiology, and advances in imaging techniques that allow non-invasive diagnosis have fostered the development of new and very effective specific therapies for ATTR-CM.

The present study investigated the outcomes of patients with FL who underwent contemporary first-line therapies but would not have been eligible for inclusion in recent trials and explored how commonly used in/exclusion criteria impacted their survival outcomes. This study included adult patients diagnosed with FL in the period 2000-2018 registered in the Danish Lymphoma Registry.
