Two strains of bacteria, PsyLou2A and PsyPon4B, were isolated from adult braconid wasps Psyttalia lounsburyii and Psyttalia ponerophaga, respectively. These laboratory-reared wasps were investigated as agents for biological control of the olive fruit fly, Bactrocera oleae. Analysis of 16S rRNA genes of the two isolates demonstrated that they were highly related and belonged to the genus Serratia.

Background: Recently a proof-of-concept was proposed to derive the soccer players' individual in-situ acceleration-speed (AS) profile from global positioning system (GPS) data collected over several sessions and games. The present study aimed to propose an automatized method of individual GPS-derived in-situ AS profiling in a professional rugby union setting.

Method: AS profiles of forty-nine male professional rugby union players representing 61.

Trypanosomatids are obligatory parasites, some of which are responsible for important human and animal diseases, but the vast majority of trypanosomatids are restricted to invertebrate hosts. Isolation and in vitro cultivation of trypanosomatids from insect hosts enable their description, characterization, and subsequently genetic and genomic studies. However, exact nutritional requirements are still unknown for most trypanosomatids and thus very few defined media are available.

Laser desorption-ionization mass spectrometry (MS) shows great potential for molecular analysis of planetary surfaces and microanalysis of space-returned samples or (micro)fossils. Coupled with pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (Py-GC-MS) in ESA's ExoMars project, this technique could help assess further the origin of sulfur-bearing organic matter (OM) recently detected on Mars. To unravel this potential, we analyzed sulfurized microbial OM from ca.

Neuropathic pain is one of the most invalidating symptoms in patients with Fabry disease (FD), affecting their quality of life, it is linked to small fiber neuropathy and it may not respond to available disease specific treatments. We report the case of a 32 years old man with classic FD and severe neuropathic pain who, after the failure of several standard pharmaceutical approaches, was treated with medical cannabis with relief of nocturnal pain and sleep improvement.
